New single from Jezz “Move Closer”.
Move Closer is a 90’s inspired disco track featuring live bass, guitar, brass and shamelessly addictive vocals.
What/Who is Jezz ? “I am 44 year old English teacher working in Croydon. I have played live since I was ten and moved to London from Ireland almost 2 years ago and Jezz is a name I write, record, produce and release under”.
Jezz is a one man solo operation but features live instrumentation. Guest vocalists appear on new tracks and Jezz has recorded 2 albums with dominant singer Clara Rose.
The focus is pop/ disco / electro/ 80’s/90’s inspired acts like M People, Jamiroquai, Chic, Duran Duran and newer acts such as Chvrches and Jess Glynne.
All material has been released independently except the 2009 debut album “We Made This” featuring the single “Still Breathing”.
The follow up album “Bangâ” features the singles “Out with The Boys” and “Beach Song”. The promo video for “Beach Song” was shot on location in Ibiza and has now reached 63k hits.
Jezz has also released standalone singles “One Night” on Overtmind and “Unspoken”.
Jezz is currently back in the studio recording songs with London musicians for a third album.
Jezz teamed up with producer Steven A Williams (Sting, Freddie Mercury, Human League) and vocalist Hazel Fernandes (Anastacia, Stereophonics, Gabrielle, Tina Turner) to record the uplifting brand new single“Move Closer” which will be released on 25 September 2016.
