Ed Sheeran is on course to bag his first ever UK No.1 single.

The singer-songwriter unleashed his latest effort ‘Sing’ recently and the Official Charts Company have confirmed in their midweek update today (June 4) that it is No.1.
It has shifted nearly 72,000 units so far this week and it is 47,000 copies ahead of Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’, which sticks at No.2.
At No.3 on the midweek update is last week’s No.1, SecondCity’s ‘I Wanna Feel’, whilst Mr Probz’s ‘Waves’ is No.4.
Completing the top five on the update is the charity single launched by Neon Brotherhood to pay tribute to late cancer patient Stephen Sutton.
They teamed up for the track ‘Hope Ain’t A Bad Thing’, which is trailing SecondCity by only 6,500 copies.
